For me it all started back in 2002 when i was fortunate enough to watch a film called Home Movie, a “documentary look at five unusual homes and the people who built (or adapted) them.”
“should be required viewing for all of us in the extended homeowner’s association we call the human race.” That statement, in review once posted and now removed about Home Movie sums up why I find myself talking about this film more than any other.
Included in the film is Linda Beech, an aging Japanese cult film star who has retreated to a tree house in the jungles of Hawaii.
Linda Beech, who looks to be in her seventies, says a little prayer and then drives through a river every time she drives to, or from her home because her trees, and the life she’s built around them are just that important to her.
